Information
Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (OMT) is exercise based therapy that targets the oral motor muscles used to chew and swallow. It is used to treat a variety of disorders including tongue tie, tongue thrust, incorrect tongue posture, open mouth posture, clenching/grinding, TMJ pain, tempromandibular joint disorder (TMD), snoring and sleep apnea.
The goal of OMT is to reeducate the orofacial muscles to operate correctly and remove compensations thus restoring proper function.
